JAYS announce their first “quiet” headphones

General press release

Swedish lifestyle and audio product developer JAYS introduce their first product in the quiet (q-) series. The first product launched is an over-ear Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) headphone named q-Seven Wireless. q-Seven is developed with a focal point on high comfort and noise cancelling features with the goal to create a space of silence and focus for consumers in the city hustle.

Next to the clean and simple design, which is characteristic for JAYS products, the target of q-Seven is to introduce the ANC to a new target group in a new environment. “ANC is almost synonymous with business travel, specifically by air. The target with developing the q-Seven has been to introduce and make ANC accessible for our young urban target customer. With q-Seven we want to bring the ANC headphone to a new context and give our customers a possibility to create a space of silence and focus in their everyday life in the noisy city environment” Fredrik Sjölander, Business Development at Jays Headphones says.

The comfort is one of the most important features on an ANC headphone. “When using ANC you normally use them for a long period of time. Sometimes even without any music or sound. In order to get the comfort-level we wanted a lot of hours was invested to ensure a soft and comfortable fit on the ears. Our internal target has been that you shouldn’t need to take them off at all during the whole day” Fredrik Sjölander continues.

Together with True Wireless, Active Noise Cancelling is one of the fastest growing categories within headphones at the moment. “We see a lot of potential in the Noise Cancelling segment. The market is growing fast and in order to reach our target group, we had to deliver a product with a high ANC performance and comfort but at the same time affordable for this group of people. This is something I’m now proud to say we can deliver upon” says Henrik Andersson, CEO Northbaze Group
